10x MicroStructures manufactures and designs optical films to manage the light and direct it where it is needed, which results in better overall illumination and uniformity. Display Optical Films are used to increase brightness for backlight modules for backlit displays. Utilizing the light more efficiently also results in reduced power requirements/consumption. These films also allow for a thinner display. This film can be used with all LCD display such as Cell phones, notebook computers, monitors and TVs.

Functionality

This prismatic film increases efficiency of backlights by using reflection and refraction of the light. Light is directed towards the viewer, while light that is attempting to leave outside the desired angle is recycled and refelcted until leaving at the proper viewing angle.

Shown is an example of how the BC series of films are incorporated into LCD panel displays. The BC film material is supplied with a colored protective sheet on the prism side and a clear protective sheet on the opposite side. This product can be delivered die cut to size, including the necessary mounting features required by your display. The proper film stack can be determined based on the requirements of the display.
